ABOUT US

ATOMACON, Inc. (http://atomacon.org) is a nonprofit educational corporation dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for science fiction, fantasy, and science through related literary and other popular art forms. This is accomplished primarily through a convention to celebrate the history of and on-going contribution of science fiction, fantasy, science and related genres to art and popular culture.

Convention hours are Saturday, 10am-9pm; Sunday 10am -5pm.

AtomaCon is a multi-genre, panel driven convention.  What does that mean? It means we are not just a Horror Con, Anime Con, Gaming Con or ComicCon.  We have elements of all. Our Con is for fans by fans. Any member may participate as a panelist and even suggest panels.

  • Panels by Fans, for Fans: Participate as a panelist or suggest your own ideas! Our panels span across all your favorite genres: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Anime, Fandom—and more!

  • Film Festival: Get ready for an exciting international showcase of films from geeky genres like sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and fan films. Got a quirky stop-motion film or an experimental cosplay documentary? We want to see it! Plus, women, POC, LGBT, and underrepresented creators are highly encouraged to submit.

  • Short Screenplay Competition: If you’ve got a killer geeky screenplay, enter our competition and get your script read by industry insiders.

  • Charity Auction: Bid on one-of-a-kind items and support a good cause on Saturday. As of 2025, we have raised over $12,000 for charity!

  • Themed Days & Events: Whether you’re sailing the high seas for our Pirate Day or joining the force for Star Wars Day, there’s no shortage of exciting activities to dive into.

  • Cosplay Contest & Performance Groups: Strut your stuff in our epic Cosplay Contest and enjoy live performances from amazing fan groups.

  • Interactive Fun: From trivia challenges and game nights to minion scavenger hunts and improv panels—there's always something happening!

AtomaCon is a female-run event dedicated to lifting up voices from all communities, including female, POC, and LGBTQ creators. We are committed to showcasing thoughtful roles for minority actors and ensuring that all our film and panel submissions are inclusive, respectful, and diverse.
